It was quite marvelous. We even got a button that says "Hoser March" on it -- expect me to wear it whenever appropriate, and sometimes when not.

No to Sled Island (again), but yes for the folk festival! I wouldn't miss it for the world. See you there!!

Despite the lack of hooting and stomping, the Hoser March does sound inspired.

Will you be in town for Sled Island/Folk Festival?

Robin, I think you may have mentioned that before ... but it's still neat! And considering your work, she obviously knew what she was doing.

Glad you liked it, Sean! The march was really fun -- I hope it happens again here as well, and I'm sure it would be a marvelous addition to a tour. I think Bidini is playing at Hillside in Guelph, so maybe other tour dates are also on the way? I agree with you, though ... I miss the Rheos too.

Splendid post my friend! I really enjoyed your recounting of the "Hoser March". Hopefully that one can be recreated in other cities should Bidini tour this one.

It's funny but I was just listening to the Rheostatics last night and it really made me miss them. I so used to look forward to their new releases and constant touring. The Bidiniband will definitely be something I explore more closely though. And maybe, just maybe I won't miss the Rheostatics as much as I do.

Cheers,
Sean

I think that I tell you this every time you mention Dave Bidini and the Rheostatics, but did you know that his sister was one of my photography teachers? She's one of my favourite people in the world, too.
