Oh trust me … you only need to see four. The X-Men trilogy and the aforementioned The Prestige. That’s it. The others aren’t worth it. I haven’t seen them all yet, but I am pretty sure none of them will hold a candle to those anyway. hahaha

I’m not even sure if I have seen all that many Hugh Jackman movies to tell you the truth. Obviously something has been amiss in my education.

I am really looking forward to the Weakerthans/Cons show here, although it is only for one night. I sure hope the Waking Eyes join them here as well.

Nice one Colin, you posted as I was writing that reply. I had no idea I was so popular. Anyway … I thought the Waking Eyes were well-liked! I really don’t know them at all but I certainly hear about them a lot.

Rox, maybe Baz Luhrmann just doesn’t do it for me. I wouldn’t say that Australia was the worst movie ever, because let’s face it — it’s not. There are parts in it I liked, but there are far more parts in it that I didn’t like. The thing about Deception was that even though the storyline was super predictable and not innovative, I really liked the production, which struck me as somewhat different from most movies of its genre. There was no spy/adrenaline business, just this weird downcast sort of mood the entire time. I liked that (the music and particular types of shots).

Not a movie I’d watch again, though, I’ll certainly give you that one. Haha. I’ll talk about them all more shortly though.

Sean, $100 are playing with them in London?! I am super, super jealous. They are most excellent and I am sure you’ll have a great time! I expect a long and detailed review.

I wish the Weakerthans/Constantines had gotten better openers for the Toronto shows. Waking Eyes? Seriously? Seriously? What a let-down… I can tell they had nothing to do with that decision.

WOW! Macca said that about the ladies? High praise doesn’t get much better than that now does it?

And a third TO show for the Rolling Tundra review? I’m very impressed. I don’t think the show is even sold out here in London yet… Ack. Looking very, very much forward to seeing $100 that night.

Michelle Williams has been in a bunch of quality indie movies, so if you can get a hand on her stuff, it’s probably worth seeing. “Wendy and Lucy” is a recent one that people were saying she deserved an Oscar for.
